1. What the tool does
Profit Sleuth (“the tool”) helps Etsy sellers estimate profit per sale and per listing from the CSV files they download from Etsy and the costs they enter. All calculations run in your browser. You don’t need an account.
2. Free features and Pro
- The fee calculator and the shop check (totals and the three weakest listings) are free.
- Pro is a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout — not a subscription, no automatic renewal. Your license key turns on Pro on up to 3 devices.
- Your license is for you and your shop. Please don’t share, publish or resell your key; we may turn off keys that are shared publicly or refunded.
- When Etsy changes a fee or a CSV format, we update the tool for at least 12 months from your purchase. We won’t switch off Pro features you already have after that.
3. Payments
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles sales tax or VAT. We never see your card details.
4. What the numbers are
Results are estimates based on the files and numbers you provide. They are not accounting profit and not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice. Your Etsy payment account and statements are the record of what Etsy actually charged and paid.
5. Responsibility
We test the tool carefully, but differences in file formats or typing mistakes can change results. To the extent the law allows, decisions you make from the results are your responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
6. Etsy
The tool is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Etsy, Inc. Etsy is a trademark of Etsy, Inc.
